Knowledge into Action: The Museum’s Collection as a Catalyst
Each year, objects from the museum’s art collection serve as inspiration for º£½ÇÉçÇøºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï students for discussion, research, writing, art making, and exhibition projects. Knowledge into Action features artworks that have enriched the learning experience for º£½ÇÉçÇøºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï students who have gone on to have careers in museums and the arts. This exhibition is presented in celebration of the 25th anniversary of º£½ÇÉçÇøºÚÁϳԹÏ’s Bucksbaum Center for the Arts.

The Bachelor of Art Exhibition presents work in the creative arts by third- and fourth-year º£½ÇÉçÇøºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï students. With support from GCMoA staff, students manage many of the exhibition details, including the selection of a juror and the creation of an exhibition catalogue and website. The exhibition includes photographs, drawings, sculpture, paintings, video, installations, and works created digitally. The 2024 juror is Summer Ventis ’02, assistant professor, printmaking. California State University, Sacramento.
