Mr. Silva came to º£½ÇÉçÇøºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï from the University of Chicago where he wrote a dissertation on Chilean middle-class unions. Mr. Silva's work examines how the middle class contributed to the rise of powerful leftist parties in Chile. These research interests show up in the courses he teaches on U.S.-Latin American relations and modern Latin American radical movements.
